Pitmasters are preparing to fire up their smokers for a sizzling showdown at the Barbecue, Bands & Brew fundraising event in Fort Myers.
The event is taking place today at the Caloosa Sound Amphitheater, located downtown off Edwards Drive.
The Lee Building Industry Association is hosting the event, which has become a local favorite over its 14-year history.
Attendees can enjoy live performances throughout the day. The lineup includes Riverside, Soapy Tuna, and headliners, the Ben Allen Band.
The music starts at 11:30 a.m. and continues into the evening.
Local barbecue favorites such as Big Smoke BBQ and Catering, Gator Creek BBQ Company, Herb’s BBQ and Rubs, Not Your Mama’s Kitchen, Smokin’ Crow’s BBQ, and That BBQ Place will compete for the coveted title of Best BBQ in Town.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Builders Care, supporting their mission to provide emergency construction services at no cost to those in need.
