A fatal crash involving a Van Hool coach bus occurred on Interstate 75 in Lee County early on Monday after veering off the road.
The crash happened near mile marker 116 at approximately 4:21 a.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the bus crossed the median, hit the cable barrier, traveled across the southbound lanes and collided with trees on the right shoulder.
The 64-year-old male driver from Naples was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is currently under investigation.
